whew, finally, after a month of absence, i'll be able to update this blogsite of mine. :) well, my apology for not being able to update you all with the latest buzz in the fashion world 'cause i was SO busy last february due to school works (exams, projects, and the nerve-wracking THESIS!). in fact, i even had an attempt of posting at least one new entry here before i indulge myself in school works but unfortunately, i failed to do so. :(

one of this season's top model (having 8 campaigns under her belt this spring), toni garrn fronts the cover of this month's vogue russia. i am SO-SO-SO sure that she's wearing a john galliano hat. ;) anyway, i love her shot on the cover. so simple yet very fashion-ique! ;)

Vogue Germany January 09: Isabeli Fonatana by Vincent Peters

brazilian top model isabeli fontana graces this month's issue of vogue germany. shot by vincent peters along with her son and husband, isabeli is wearing a pink versace dress with sort of draped-pink structure below the neck. it is one of my favorite pieces from the collection. :D

actually, the photos of her editorial along with her family are over 20 (well, 21 to be exact). as you can see, i just posted 6 out of 21 photos and you would probably wonder why i posted only 6 pictures but not the whole set of editorial photos? well, it's because of its hard for me to post it all. :D not that really hard. i just can't take the internet speed that i got here especially when uploading photos. ;) :D

UK Vogue January 09: Cate Blanchett by Patrick Demarchelier

what a boring way for UK Vogue to start 2009. i have nothing against with cate blanchett. in fact, i really like her but i honestly do not like her shot here. in short, the cover is BORING. what have they done to her??? but good thing is, her editorial saved her "not nice" cover shot.

cate is REALLY one of those actresses that has an underrated/effortless beauty. she's just SO divine! such a glamorous woman. she's wearing a silk-chiffon armani prive dress with lots of embroidered jewels on the cover. i think armani likes her so much that's why most of the time, whenever there's a party/ceremony wherein cate is invited, she's wearing an armani gown/dress. ;)

UK Elle January 09: Courtney Love by Jan Welters

UK Elle has got kurt cobain's ex-wife, the most controversial woman in the history of rock, courtney love, as the cover girl for this month's issue. just like what i said regarding the US Elle cover this month, i think this too is a horrible cover. i don't mean anything bad about UK Elle. in fact, i love them over the american edition. its just that courtney, for me, ruins everything here. especially her facial expression in the cover shot. though i must admit that the editorial looks good especially those hand-written texts going on. ;)

US Elle January 09: Beyonce Knowles by Alexi Hay

bootylicious babe beyonce knowles, now known with her alter-ego "sasha fierce", got the cover of this month's US Elle. shot by alexi hay in the SO USUAL studio shoot, beyonce looks kind of...horrible. :D i love beyonce but i just don't like the shot that was used for the cover. that YSL dress just didn't do anything good for her on the cover. though i love the uber bangles. :D ;) i think they should have used that dolce & gabbana's silk brocade sculpted top shot (the 3rd pic posted) as the cover w/o that tacky eye make-up on. :)
